This mentorship of 12 one-hour sessions with Anush can be transformative for you if having a long-term project you need support with or if needing to develop your photographic skills overall.

We will meet once a month (via Zoom), or more often, depending on our arrangement. During our first meeting, we will look through your photography, discuss, and plan ahead. During the following meetings, we will look over your progress while discussing new photography, and we will push your story forward.

Our discussions will include image and story-related questions, such as image sequencing and story flow, toning of photographs, using Adobe Lightroom, organizing story edits, etc.

We will also speak about working in the field, communicating with those we photograph, and the ethics involved. I will additionally do my best to give practical advice on how to get around in the industry of photojournalism as a freelancer, to use Instagram to connect with the audience and any other questions you may be interested in.

In the case of a story you are working on, and depending on its progress and scale, we will do our best to bring it together into a complete body of work. I will also give suggestions on where and how to pitch the story to publications.
